Job Summary
Capture demographic and insurance information via telephone or patient-facing interactions using eligibility applications to verify coverage and interpret payer responses. Perform accurate patient lookups to ensure correct registration, collect financial responsibility through cash, credit card, or check, and explain regulatory forms to obtain necessary signatures. Manage online form templates to maintain the Electronic Health Record while discussing patient obligations and answering questions. Interpret Federal, State, and Third Party Payer regulations to support clinical workflow during multi-system interactions. Maintain HIPAA compliance by protecting sensitive patient information and adhering to minimum necessary disclosure standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- 1-3 years applicable experience
