Job Summary
Greet patients in person or on the phone to drive a positive customer service experience while carrying a tablet to direct visitors at the entrance. Accurately input patient data, capture demographic and insurance information, and scan forms into the Electronic Health Record system. Screen patients for insurance eligibility using designated scripts, refer self-pay patients to the Eligibility Specialist, and confirm appointments via reminder calls. Schedule patient visits with providers, pre-register all patients, and verify payor codes through proper insurance variation systems. Collect cash, credit, and co-pay payments, reconcile transactions with day sheets, and ensure all funds are balanced and secured. Maintain a safe reception area, enforce patient privacy guidelines, and assist new staff during training.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- CPR certification
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
