Access Representative I

Obtains, enters, and verifies demographic and financial information in the computer system for registration areas including ambulatory services, ancillary departments, emergency room, urgent care, lab, and radiology. Collects point of service payments in accordance with department policy and practice. Adheres to customer service guidelines for the Patient Access Department and demonstrates excellent customer service delivery in daily interactions. Meets all business and compliance expectations of the department and CMH. This role provides quality support services of registration and other related tasks within the revenue cycle, where data collection processes directly impact departments such as Health Information Management, Patient Financial Services, clinical services, and other areas within the hospital.
