Job Summary
Access and Privacy Analyst responsible for handling routine information access requests under POPA and ATIA, defining the scope of requests, locating responsive records, applying disclosure exceptions, and conducting legislated consultations with third parties. The role supports the Access and Privacy Unit’s programs, ensures proper collection of personal information, and acts as a resource for LPS personnel on POPA/ATIA. Requires foundational knowledge of Alberta information access/privacy laws, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks. The position is full-time term relief (approximately Sep 2026–Sep 2027) in-person at the Lethbridge Police Service, with a wage of $41.35/hour and a 37.5-hour workweek; CUPE Local 70 contract; candidate must consent to security checks and polygraph process. Education: two+ years post-secondary education; assets for certification. Location: Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of post secondary education
- At least one year working experience with access and privacy (preferred)
- Completion of the University of Alberta Information Access and Protection of Privacy certification program or equivalent asset
