Job Summary
Designs and implements Specially Designed Instruction, accommodations, and supports for students with disabilities in a classroom setting; develops and implements IEPs including present levels, goals, and required services; creates a positive educational climate; employs diverse teaching techniques to meet IEP goals; observes and evaluates student progress, maintains grades and attendance; manages classroom behavior with evidence-based interventions; communicates with parents and school staff about student progress and involvement; ensures health and safety, provides oversight to paraprofessionals, maintains confidential records and documentation, attends workshops to advance ESE knowledge and skills; maintains required certifications and professional development hours; Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education preferred
- Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate required
