Job Summary

Design and implement specially designed instruction, accommodations, and supports aligned with state standards and individual student needs. Develop and execute Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) outlining present levels, instructional goals, and required services. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior supports and evidence-based interventions while maintaining a respectful learning environment. Monitor student assessment data, grades, and attendance to track progress toward IEP objectives. Communicate regularly with parents and district personnel regarding student advancement. Oversee paraprofessionals and ensure the security of confidential records and documentation. Maintain appropriate certifications and attend professional development to advance Exceptional Student Education expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education preferred
  • Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate
  • Microsoft Office
