Job Summary
Serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking multicultural counseling and community support services via phone, email, referrals, or in-person interactions. Conduct initial mental health and substance use screenings to gather client needs, history, and current status, then triage cases to determine appropriate services or levels of care. Schedule intake appointments, coordinate enrollment into behavioral health programs, and collaborate with clinicians and external providers to ensure accurate assessment and placement. Track student grades and attendance through regular contact with families and school counselors. Maintain accurate client records, including demographic data and assessment results, by entering information into electronic health records and preparing intake forms. Generate reports on intake and referral activities, communicate appointment reminders and documentation requirements, and adhere to all privacy regulations such as HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
Required Qualifications
- Addictions PSS, CADC, or CRM, and QMHA or QMHA-R with the ability to obtain QMHA within 30 days
- Standard LCSNW criminal clearance, including national sex offender, ORCHARDS, SAM/OIG
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to read, write, and speak in English
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (relating to behavioral science or a related field)
- Fluency in the additional following language(s): Arabic, Burmese, Dari, French, Karen, Pashto, Rohingya, Spanish, Somali, Swahili, and Ukrainian
