Job Summary
Access Health Education Specialist focused on promoting health equity through community education, engagement, and care navigation for HIV/STI prevention, testing, and treatment. Responsibilities include developing community partnerships, conducting outreach and education sessions, linking clients to primary care and prevention services (PrEP/PEP), assisting with appointment scheduling and insurance navigation, and maintaining accurate data and reporting while traveling across Brooklyn and NYC. Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, at least 2 years’ experience in community health/HIV prevention, proficiency with data systems, and ability to travel ~75% of the time; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Annual salary $58,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Education, Social Work, or related field; equivalence considered
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in community health, HIV/STI prevention, case navigation, or related field
- Knowledge of HIV/STI prevention, PrEP/PEP, health education principles
- Experience reaching underserved populations and connecting individuals to services
- Proficiency in data entry, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates preferred
- Ability to travel within New York City and field-based work approximately 75% of the time
- Strong communication and ability to document work accurately
