Access Associate- Infectious Disease

Job Summary
Coordinate appointments, ensure accurate registration, and collect copays for patients in TriHealth's Infectious Diseases department. Schedule physician-ordered tests in accordance with department guidelines, correlate medical diagnoses with ordered procedures for reimbursement purposes, and educate patients on required legal compliance paperwork. Resolve patient issues, answer questions, and provide financial triage by directing patients with insurance inquiries. Adapt to dynamic workflows, manage phone calls and registrations per hour, and maintain accuracy while following regulatory and departmental policies for data collection and patient safety.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Degree
- 1 - 2 years experience Customer Service
- Ability to operate multiple computer applications
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Typing speed of 35 wpm
- Medical terminology
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic workflow
- Appropriate volume of phone calls/registrations per hour
- Follow regulatory and departmental policies for collection of data, patient safety and point of service collections
- Follow scripting
- Anticipates customer needs
- Problem solving skills
- Consistent and positive interactions with patients and co-workers
