Job Summary
Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls throughout the shift, performing patient assessment, treatment, and transport under Base Hospital certification. Manage ambulance vehicle control, including daily inspections, inventory checks, and safe operation in all weather conditions. Execute patient transfers to medical facilities, complete required documentation and incident reports, and maintain station grounds and equipment cleanliness. Communicate effectively with police, fire, and allied agencies while adhering to occupational health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Base Hospital Certified in Ontario
- Defibrillation certification
- Symptom relief certification
- valid and subsisting Class "F" drivers license or equivalent
- valid C.P.R. certificate
- all other mandatory credentials required
- current legislative and regulatory qualifications and requirements
- Criminal record checks
- Proof of immunization as per the Regulations
- Ministry of Health Ambulance Identification badge
- Annual CPR re-certification certificate
- Grey County EMS owned swipe card for payroll purposes
- Ministry of Health and Long Term Care ID card
- Drug/Alcohol Testing
- Pre-Medical Testing
