Job Summary
Teach all subjects aligned with ACT requirements, including math, reading, language arts, and science, while establishing specific goals for each class. Assist students with homework, provide supplemental academic content, and develop hands-on learning techniques to reinforce skills. Read with students, oversee art or STEM projects, and coordinate with the Youth Prosperity Program Manager to engage families. Develop a weekly plan, oversee daily dismissal ensuring only cleared adults pick up students, and maintain a tidy classroom. Conduct baseline testing, monitor progress, and provide individual or group evaluations to the Program Manager. Work Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience teaching K-12 age students
- Must possess strong teaching skills
- Ability to explain and instruct students at a basic level
- Strong knowledge in content area of choice, demonstrated through lesson planning, execution, and intervention with all students
- Excellent communications skills, both spoken and written
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
