Job Summary
Academy Guidance/College Specialist providing academic, social, and emotional support to students while guiding them through the college admissions process. Responsibilities include delivering the guidance curriculum, communicating student progress to parents, advising on standardized test requirements and interpreting results, developing and maintaining relationships with university representatives, assisting with scheduling and master planning, counseling students individually and in groups, guiding course selection and academic paths, and coordinating with faculty, parents, and university partners to ensure student success and well-being. Requires collaboration with Principal, Counseling Coordinator, JK-12 Clinical Psychologist, Registrar, and OLP department; familiarity with Unifrog and Moodle; two years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree in a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Teaching certification or equivalent in Guidance Counseling/School Counseling
- Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited University
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
- Proficiency in technology tools such as Word, Excel, and Moodle
- Able to reach proficiency in Unifrog application platform
- Commitment to student safeguarding and child protection
