Academy- Assistant Performance Coach PT

Job Summary

Direct on-field warm-up and cool-down sessions, strength training, and individual rehab sessions alongside medical staff. Distribute player devices, process daily data into club systems, and compile RPE and wellness metrics for reporting. Utilize monitoring software to track performance and injury prevention, while delivering optimal recovery strategies post-training and match. Assist in developing off-season programs, creating educational materials for players, and maintaining field and gym equipment. Survey literature to advance LTAD programming and contribute to curriculum development for youth athletes. Occasional travel with the team to games and events.

Required Qualifications

  • Prior playing and/or coaching experience
  • Comfortably facilitate soccer-centric programs
  • Formal educational background in exercise physiology (or similar degree)
  • Load management across a variety of metrics as it relates to the development of youth soccer athletes
  • Undergraduate (Bachelor's) Degree from a 4-year accredited University in related field of study such as Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Sport Science, Biomechanics, Strength & Conditioning, and/or similar
  • NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist)
  • CPR Certification
  • Nights and weekend availability

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate (Master's) Degree from an accredited University in related field of study
  • 2-3 years experience working with youth soccer within the United States
  • XPS-EXOS Performance Specialist
  • Functional Movement Screening (FMS) – Certified Level 1/2
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
