Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Conduct 1:1 and small group academic coaching for elementary through high school students to improve attendance, behavior, and literacy/math skills. Monitor individual student progress by collaborating with teachers to collect, record, and analyze data within City Year's student data system. Create and implement behavior management systems while developing interpersonal skills through learning, practice, and reflection. Support whole school initiatives by leading extended day and virtual programming for academic enrichment, homework assistance, and student clubs. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student achievement in math, literacy, and attendance. Participate in facilitated reviews of student data and work with partner teachers on whole class instruction and breakout spaces.
