Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and high school students to improve academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors. Plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction and in-class assistance. Develop literacy and math skills through varied activities, answer questions, and encourage assignment completion. Create and implement a behavior management system, fostering interpersonal skills through learning, practice, reflection, and repetition. Support whole-school initiatives by conducting extended day and virtual programming for academic enrichment, homework support, and leadership development. Collect, record, and analyze student data in City Year's system to facilitate progress reviews.
