Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Conduct 1:1 and small group academic coaching for elementary, middle, and high school students to improve attendance and develop positive behaviors. Plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction and breakout spaces. Create and implement behavior management systems, develop literacy and math skills through varied activities, and foster interpersonal growth using reflection and repetition. Support whole-school initiatives by leading extended day and virtual programming for academic enrichment, homework support, and student clubs. Collect, record, and analyze student data within City Year's system to facilitate progress reviews.
