Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and high school students to earn academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. Plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and in-class assistance. Develop literacy and math skills through varied learning activities, create a behavior management system, and support extended day or virtual programming including academic enrichment, homework help, and student clubs. Collect, record, and analyze student data in City Year's system to facilitate progress reviews. Create an engaging, safe classroom space and co-lead events recognizing student growth in math, literacy, attendance, and behavior.
