Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Conduct 1:1 and small group coaching for elementary through high school students to improve attendance, academic performance, and positive behaviors. Develop literacy and math skills through tailored activities, answer questions, and encourage assignment completion while implementing a behavior management system. Collaborate with teachers to monitor individual student progress using City Year's data system and facilitate reviews of collected data. Support whole school initiatives by leading extended day and virtual programming for academic enrichment, homework support, and leadership development. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student achievements in math, literacy, and attendance.
