Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and high school students to earn academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. Work one-on-one and in small groups to develop literacy and math skills, create behavior management systems, and implement learning activities tailored to student levels. Collaborate with teachers to monitor individual student progress using City Year's data system and facilitate reviews of collected data. Support whole school initiatives by conducting extended day and virtual programming for academic enrichment, homework support, and leadership development. Create engaging classroom spaces and co-lead events recognizing student growth in math, literacy, and attendance.
