Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and high school students to earn academic success, improve attendance, and develop positive behaviors. Plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and in-class assistance. Develop literacy and math skills through varied learning activities, create behavior management systems, and support extended day and virtual programming including academic enrichment, homework support, and student clubs. Work with partner teachers and school staff to collect, record, and analyze student data using City Year's system. Create an engaging, safe, and healthy classroom space while co-leading events that recognize student growth in math, literacy, attendance, and behavior.
