Academic Tutor & Mentor (Entry Level, Paid, Full-time)

Coach and mentor elementary, middle, and high school students to improve academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors. Plan and monitor individual student progress while collaborating with teachers on whole-class instruction, breakout spaces, and in-class assistance. Develop literacy and math skills through varied learning activities, implement behavior management systems, and create engaging classroom spaces. Support extended day and virtual programming including academic enrichment, homework help, and student clubs. Collect, record, and analyze student data in City Year's system to facilitate progress reviews. Participate in facilitated reviews of student data and co-lead events recognizing student growth in math, literacy, attendance, and behavior.
