Job Summary
Provide academic support to K–12 students based on expertise of the state curriculum, delivering supplemental assignments for greater material understanding and remedial or enrichment support. Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress while tailoring a customized approach to individual needs. Maintain energetic enthusiasm and strong communication skills to cater to an extensive range of learning styles. Competitive rates and flexible hours are available for qualified candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Florida State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
- Current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
- Two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher
- Experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
- Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching or tutoring K–12 Math and/or Science
- Preference for candidates who can teach both Math and Science
