Job Summary
Plan and direct learning activities for adult incarcerated students using the Windham School District curriculum. Supervise classroom activities, manage student behavior with firm and consistent rules, and create a positive environment conducive to educational growth. Administer diagnostic and achievement tests, maintain accurate student progress records, and submit required reports. Participate in faculty meetings, staff development programs, and curriculum committees as assigned. This role requires personal technology for remote work completion. Selected applicants are responsible for reimbursing the district for current TRS pension or Care surcharges via payroll deduction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must meet State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) requirements for area of assignment
- Elementary or Secondary level certification in a foundation subject area
- Personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Skill to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures
