Job Summary
Provide quality education to incarcerated students and supervise classroom activities. Plan and direct learning activities in alignment with Windham School District (WSD) curriculum guides, administer tests as required, maintain accurate attendance and Student Progress Records, and ensure confidentiality. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication, strong organization and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures. Maintain lesson plans, adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs, foster a positive learning environment, and collaborate with staff to achieve district and campus improvement goals. Ensure professional, ethical conduct and compliance with WSD policies and TEA regulations; stay current with instructional materials, equipment usage, and statutory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Must meet State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) requirements for area of assignment
- Elementary or Secondary level certification in a foundation subject area
- Personal technology to enable remote work as required by the position
