Job Summary
Plan and direct learning activities for adult incarcerated students, follow Windham School District curriculum guides, and maintain lesson plans and attendance. Responsibilities include supervising classroom activities, administering and preparing tests, maintaining student progress records, applying knowledge and appropriate media to instruction, adhering to WSD policies and TEA requirements, and cooperating with staff to meet instructional goals. Emphasis on clear oral and written instruction, confidentiality, professional conduct, and adapting instruction to the needs of incarcerated students in a Windham School District setting. Location-based duties involve operating within Bryan, Texas facilities with mandatory in-person classroom supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; SBEC requirements for area of assignment
- Elementary or Secondary level certification in a foundation subject area
- This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely
