Job Summary
Plan and direct learning activities of adult incarcerated students; follow WSD curriculum guides; participate in staff development and faculty meetings; supervise and evaluate student progress; prepare and maintain lesson plans, attendance records, and progress reports; use various methods to teach basic concepts; administer tests; ensure confidentiality; maintain a positive classroom environment; collaborate with staff to meet district goals; adhere to WSD policies and TEA/agency regulations; supervise teacher aides and ensure ethical professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- SBEC certification in an elementary or secondary foundation subject area
- Ability to work remotely with personal technology
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Supervisory responsibilities of adult incarcerated students in classroom settings
