Job Summary
Plan and deliver academic support instruction in math, science, social sciences, or English through face-to-face, lab, clinical, or online settings. Create performance-based assessments aligned with competencies and implement progressive curriculum using effective learning strategies. Provide 1-on-1 or small group support while promoting student success via timely communication and growth-based feedback for diverse learners. Maintain professional currency and model integrity within a collaborative culture across the College. Submit application materials including cover letter, resume, and transcripts to be considered for future adjunct or substitute teaching opportunities when needs arise.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- Wisconsin DPI Secondary Education license in a core academic area (Math, Science, English, Social Studies), Special Education, or Adult Education OR BA/BS with 20 semester credits in an academic area
- Minimum of two years of teaching experience
- Qualified per CVTC requirements at time of, and throughout, employment as an instructor
- Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance System (FQAS) standards, and/or other job specific licensing standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching math or science, preferred
- Experience in high school teaching and/or developmental education, preferred
