Academic Specialist (K-6th) at Aspire Charter Academy supports, supplements and extends classroom teaching through research-based intervention services. Uses specialized knowledge of assessment and diagnosis to develop, implement, and evaluate academic interventions for individual students; shares findings with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists; reviews test scores to determine eligibility for intervention; monitors student progress and provides feedback; groups students by needs and delivers instruction to individuals or small groups using best practices for intervention in core content subjects; manages student behavior to maintain a safe, productive learning environment; completes required paperwork including student plans and service logs; collects and analyzes data for reporting and program effectiveness.
