Job Summary
Academic Specialist ELA at Burton Glen Charter Academy supports, supplements, and extends classroom teaching by implementing a research-based intervention program for at-risk students; uses assessment and diagnostic information to develop, implement, and evaluate interventions; collaborates with classroom teachers, parents, psychologists, special educators, and speech teachers; reviews test scores and data to determine intervention eligibility and effectiveness; groups students for targeted instruction, manages learning time, and maintains accurate documentation. Strong emphasis on data-driven instruction, progress monitoring, and behavior management to maximize student achievement; requires a valid teaching license and experience in teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid teacher license in the subject and/or grade level or meet alternative requirements in the state you are applying.
