Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive primary care in inpatient and outpatient settings while providing clinical, teaching, and mentoring support to residents, fellows, and medical students. Lead clinical, teaching, and research activities within the Geriatrics Division or manage patient care across ambulatory clinics, the medical center, and continuing care retirement communities. Participate in scholarly activities and serve on the department's senior leadership team as needed. Join a nationally recognized Family Medicine department committed to increasing physician supply and improving health outcomes in eastern North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- BC/BE Family Medicine Physician
- BC Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
- additional qualifications in Geriatrics
- participate in the teaching, mentoring, advising, and supervision of residents, medical students, and other learners
- provide medical care to patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings
- participate in various scholarly activities
- provide medical care to patient in the ambulatory clinic, Family Medicine Center, ECU Health Medical Center, and one continuing care retirement community with skilled care beds
- lead clinical, teaching, and research activities in the Geriatrics Division
- serve as a member of the department's senior leadership team
- set the course for the Geriatrics Division
- serve as a faculty physician
- participate in teaching, clinical, and other scholarly activities
