Academic Pediatric Physician

Conduct outpatient pediatric care for chronically ill and medically complex children across four clinical days, averaging 20–24 daily patients. Teach residents and medical students from Eastern Virginia Medical School while completing learner evaluations and attending educational conferences. Manage call rotations with nursing triage as the first line of defense, taking approximately six to seven weeks of call annually. Work with embedded support including an LPN, medical assistant, and access to social work, nutrition, and mental health resources. Follow a Tuesday–Friday schedule with one remote administrative day at the new Children's Pavilion in Norfolk, Virginia.
