Job Summary
Coordinate international training programmes for OCTOPUS, support fellows and collaboration across partner institutions, manage centralised databases, reports and analytical outputs, and contribute to capacity building by translating technical outputs into training materials. Drive stakeholder engagement, track deliverables, support reporting and maintain structured documentation, while contributing to data analysis, visualization, and dissemination through reports and policy-relevant outputs.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Social Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Data-related fields
- Experience coordinating research or training programmes across institutions or countries
- Basic proficiency in Python and/or R with data handling and wrangling
- Ability to develop training materials from technical outputs
- Fluent English; Swahili is an added advantage
- Experience working in multi-country or international projects, preferably including East Africa
- Familiarity with public health or research environments
- Comfortable working at the interface of research, administration, and implementation
- Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI) and reporting
Desired Qualifications

- Basic proficiency in Python and/or R (Pandas, SQL) and data handling/wrangling
- Ability to develop training materials from technical outputs and translate data insights into capacity-building tools
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with stakeholder engagement
- Experience with user-centered design processes (e.g., basic wireframes, UX) or willingness to learn
- English language proficiency; Swahili an added advantage for East Africa collaboration
- Experience in multi-country or international projects, ideally including East Africa
- Familiarity with public health or research environments
- Experience with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI) and reporting
