Job Summary
Academic Neurologist-Epileptologist sought to join an active epilepsy program within UMass Memorial Health and the UMass Chan Medical School system. Primary duties include inpatient video-EEG monitoring, attending on the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, and outpatient routine and ambulatory EEG, with opportunities to tailor a career toward clinical epilepsy, resident and medical student education, and/or research. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary epilepsy team and participation in education and mentorship programs are expected, along with responsibilities aligned with a faculty appointment and integration into a comprehensive epilepsy center offering stereotactic depth electrode placement, RNS, vagus nerve stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and other advanced neurosurgical therapies. The position supports clinical care, teaching of neurology residents and medical students, and potential research engagement within a leading academic medical environment in Worcester, MA.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO required
- Fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
- Continuous video-EEG monitoring experience including ICU and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
- Intracranial EEG monitoring experience preferred
