Job Summary
Academic Neurologist-Epileptologist responsible for inpatient video-EEG monitoring, attending on the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit service, and outpatient routine/ambulatory EEG. Clinical duties include managing patients with epilepsy in the clinic, collaborating with a multidisciplinary epilepsy team, and participating in education of neurology residents and medical students. Opportunities to tailor the career toward clinical epilepsy, resident and medical student education, and/or research; faculty appointment with potential for professional development within a large academic health system. The position is part of an NAEC Level 4 epilepsy center with advanced epilepsy therapies and a breadth of translational and outcomes research opportunities in neurology and neurosurgical collaborations, located in Worcester area with strong ties to UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Memorial Health.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Fellowship training (Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology) including continuous video-EEG monitoring in inpatient settings (ICU and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit)
- Intracranial EEG monitoring experience preferred
