Job Summary
Academic Epileptologist position at UMass Memorial Health/UMass Chan Medical School. Join an active epilepsy group with inpatient and outpatient services; work with neurosurgical therapies for epilepsy. Responsible for inpatient video-EEG monitoring, attending Epilepsy Monitoring Unit service, and outpatient EEG; manage patients with epilepsy in clinic; participate in education of neurology residents and medical students; potential focus on clinical epilepsy, education, and/or research. Faculty appointment with opportunities for professional development and promotion within a large integrated health system; NAEC Level 4 epilepsy center offering stereo-EEG, RNS, VNS, DBS, and other advanced treatments; collaboration with multidisciplinary epilepsy team and translational research programs in neurology and gene therapy.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Fellowship training (Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology) including continuous video-EEG monitoring in inpatient settings (ICU and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) is required
- Intracranial EEG monitoring experience preferred
