Job Summary
Academic Monitor for the Compass Program supports students in developing study habits, monitors academic progress, and maintains written records. Provides targeted academic support, tutoring, and data-tracking of student progress; communicates with teachers, parents, and guardians in English and Spanish/Portuguese; fosters equity, inclusion, and social-emotional learning in a diverse school environment; collaborates with staff to align program goals and ensure student success. Responsibilities include differentiating instruction, organizing course materials, and maintaining timely records while upholding professional standards and a growth mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- Professional Experience: Experience working with children in an educational setting is required
- Language Proficiency: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is required
- Teacher Certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
