• •Associate of Arts degree or higher
• •48 or more college units
• •Passing score on a test (CBEST, ParaPro or CODESP)

• •Personal appearance, grooming, and language patterns that provide a satisfactory example to pupils
• •Knowledge of basic subjects taught in District schools, including arithmetic, grammar, spelling, language and reading
• •Knowledge of safe practices in classroom and playground activities
• •Knowledge of basic instructional methods and techniques
• •Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
• •Knowledge of basic record-keeping techniques
• •Knowledge of classroom procedures and appropriate student conduct
• •Ability to assist with instruction and related activities in a classroom or assigned learning environment
