Job Summary
Directs staff engaged in providing academic training and ensures departmental programs meet DOL, PRH, and Serrato Corporation requirements. Supervises teaching in classrooms, completes monthly instructor observations, and manages monthly production expectations for GEDs, Driver Licenses, and leaning gains. Prepares and controls the budget, ensures adequate materials, and coordinates the academic advisory council while conducting monthly audits of teacher records and student progress. Recommends hiring and retention of certified instructors, screens student problems, and models Career Success Standards. Holds regular staff meetings twice monthly, documents all activities, and participates in PRH mandated training. Assists with graduation exercises and ensures data integrity across CIS systems.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulation
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, groups of managers, students and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw related conclusion
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instruction and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel
- Minimum of one to two years related experience in education
- Bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Certified to teach in state in which center is located
