Job Summary
Conduct subject matter expertise instruction for Joint Special Operations University students and support educational services with emphasis on military studies. Research, develop, and present multiple courses revolving around ACCM programs while delivering lectures, seminars, and special events related to JSOU education projects. Build, deliver, and update all assigned topic-focused lessons and related materials per the JSOU Faculty and Staff Guide, ensuring learning objectives meet assigned education level standards. Prepare and present course materials to governance committees, collect education-related data, and transfer knowledge to the DoD and academic communities through research and publishing. Advance professional body of knowledge via conference participation and relevant research. Requires TOP SECRET clearance, MA/MS in relevant academic specialty, and 5 years of SOF community experience. Located at MacDill AFB, FL, with travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Required Qualifications
- TOP SECRET clearance
- SCI eligible
- MA/MS in one of the broad academic specialties listed: Political Science, International Affairs/International Relations, History/Military History, Cultural and Regional Studies, Strategy, or Information/Influence Operations
- Degree must be from a regionally accredited U.S. college/university or internationally recognized college/university
- 5 years' experience within the SOF community
- 3 years' post-secondary faculty experience with classroom delivery techniques to include distributed and distance learning
- Work Location: JSOU Campus, MacDill AFB, FL
- Travel is required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations, including hazardous sites
- Travel as initiated by written tasking
