Job Summary
Instruct students in Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Career Success Standards, Health Education, Driver's Education, or HSD/HSE; conduct and manage academic classes in a regular classroom setting; promote a positive classroom atmosphere and student motivation; maintain discipline and build strong student-instructor rapport; collaborate with career tech instructors on curriculum development; utilize curricular resources, prepare for classes, and record student data including test scores and attendance in CIS; participate in evaluating student performance and provide regular feedback, work toward meeting performance standards and career/technical certification, and comply with Center policies, safety practices, and applicable regulations; support graduation activities and maintain compliance with property control policies; model Serrato Corporation's values and participate in mandated staff training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Certified to teach in the state where the center is located (RO may waive if center unable to hire certified teachers)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong knowledge of subject area and teaching practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Minimum of one to two years related experience in education
