Job Summary
Instructs in Reading, Mathematics, Workplace Communications, Career Success Standards, Health Education, Driver's Education, and HSD/HSE; conducts and manages academic classes, promotes a positive classroom atmosphere, maintains discipline and student-instructor rapport, coordinates curriculum with career tech instructors, utilizes curricular resources, prepares for classroom activities, maintains student folders and attendance, evaluates student performance and provides feedback, supports graduation exercises, adheres to policy and safety requirements, participates in mandated staff training, and performs other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree in education and a valid teaching certification/license, plus relevant teaching experience. The role emphasizes strong communication, organizational skills, and adherence to center policies and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education from a four-year college or university and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid State Driver's License
- Certified to teach in state in which center is located (RO may waive if center is unable to hire certified teachers, but the candidate must pursue certification)
- Minimum of one to two years related experience in education
