Job Summary
Academic Gastroenterologist needed for Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN. Primarily outpatient with 3.5 full days dedicated to endoscopy, 1 full day for clinic, and no weekend call required; additional per diem compensation available for weekend inpatient shifts if desired. Low-frequency weeknight call (Mon–Thu) shared with other outpatient physicians; inpatient nocturnist APP handles first call. Excellent APP support for clinic patients. Our GI team focuses on outpatient general GI, interventional GI, inpatient GI hospitalists, and GI subspecialties including IBD, with GI advanced practice providers who have completed specialized training. The main GI services are provided across three Northeast Indiana offices, with the primary site on the Parkview Regional Medical Center campus. Parkview Health is a large health system with extensive specialty coverage and multiple locations. Required Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology
- Outpatient gastroenterology expertise
- Interventional gastroenterology experience
- Involvement in endoscopy procedures
- Hospitals/health system affiliation in Indiana (Fort Wayne area)
- No weekend inpatient call requirement (optional weekend per diem)
