Job Summary
Deliver high-quality Academic English 4 Level (IELTS 6.0-7.0) classes and contribute to an inclusive learning environment for international student cohorts. Develop comprehensive English language skills including reading, writing, listening, speaking, and research abilities while teaching across various ELICOS program levels. Utilize electronic information management systems such as Moodle, Canvas, and Microsoft Excel to support student progress. Available in Canberra from 9 November 2026 to 5 February 2027 with full working rights in Australia. Requires a recognised TESOL qualification and ACT WWVP registration.
Required Qualifications
- Full working rights in Australia
- Availability in Canberra from 9 November 2026 to 5 February 2027
- Recognised qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language, such as CELTA, DELTA or a tertiary TESOL qualification
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively in ELICOS programs utilising a variety of methodologies, resources and technologies
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills
- Ability to work in a team of teachers, academic leaders and other staff
- Experience working with students of diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
- Cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness
- Demonstrated proficiency in electronic information management systems such as Moodle, Canvas and Microsoft Excel
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration or evidence of an application for registration prior to commencement
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to principles of equity and health and safety in the workplace
- Certified copies of TESOL qualification
- Certified copies of undergraduate degree
