Job Summary
Academic Dean role supporting the Principal in managing instructional programs, developing and implementing quality curriculum, planning professional development for teachers, coordinating the master schedule and campus budget, leading PLCs and walkthroughs, coaching teachers on instructional strategies, analyzing assessment data (including STAAR/STAAR-EOC), collaborating with staff and district departments, and promoting collegiality and effective instructional practices to improve student achievement. Requires a Master's degree, Texas teaching certification, Texas Administrative/Principal certification, and State Appraisal certification; 5+ years of secondary teaching with administrative/curriculum experience preferred.
