Job Summary
Academic Counselor I responsible for providing student-centered academic counseling through the student lifecycle, including course scheduling for new, continuing, transfer, and reentry students; advising on degree progress and graduation planning; maintaining direct contact with assigned students via phone, text, and email; monitoring attendance, grades, and financial responsibilities; developing success plans for at-risk students in collaboration with faculty and support services; ensuring compliance with FERPA and university policies; and collaborating with Admissions, Financial Aid, Faculty, Program Directors, and University Support Services to improve student experience and retention to graduation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree; academic advising or counseling experience preferred; proficiency with MS Office, CRM/SIS tools (Campus Vue/Nexus) and strong communication and interpersonal skills; work environment reflects on-campus and online engagement.

- Bachelor’s degree in a related degree required.
