Academic Counsellor

Job Summary
Counsel students, parents, and education partners on courses, academic programs, universities, and career pathways based on their interests and goals. Convert walk-ins, inbound leads, and enquiries into successful applications and enrolments by guiding students through the end-to-end admission process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of partner institutions, fees, scholarships, and procedures while accurately recording all interactions in the CRM. Build long-term relationships with students, parents, and schools, and participate in fairs, webinars, and promotional activities. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to share insights on student behavior and improve campaigns. Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for counseling, applications, and admissions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related field
- hands on experience in student counseling, academic advisory, inside sales, or education services
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in EdTech, training institutes, universities, or educational consultancies
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills
- Ability to understand student profiles and academic requirements and guide them effectively
- Comfort working with digital platforms, CRMs, lead management tools, and online counseling platforms
- Target-driven mindset with the ability to work under performance goals and timelines
- Organized, empathetic, and student-centric approach in all interactions
