Job Summary

Provide on-site direct support to students and staff, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment while overseeing student discipline and fostering positive relationships. Collaborate with teachers to facilitate academic learning, manage accommodations, and champion assessment participation including proctoring state-mandated tests. Monitor attendance data to identify disengaged students, conduct home visits, and document interventions within the MTSS framework. Transport students for school-related activities using a certified vehicle, maintain daily student communication, and participate in daily POD huddles to define responsibilities. Actively recruit new students through community partnerships and connect students to external resources via the Social Emotional Team. Complete assigned training, adhere to state laws including FERPA, and utilize the Helpdesk ticketing system for basic tech support.

Required Qualifications

Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado
Must reside in Colorado
Must have a valid driver's license
Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent (e.g., the GED)
Demonstrate subject matter competency by: a. Earning an Associate (or higher) degree; or b. Completing at least two years (48 credit hours) of study at an institution of higher education OR c. Passing a formal assessment measuring one's knowledge of and ability to assist classroom teachers in reading, writing, and mathematics
Must be able to maintain a regular on-site presence
Utilize GOAL Helpdesk ticketing system to communicate needs with the IT department
Champion GOAL's culture of assessment by ensuring student participation and proctoring throughout the year
Understand the student experience in GOAL learning platforms, including, but not limited to Schoology, Edgenuity, and GOAL Portal
Possess and share a general knowledge of GOAL Academy's extra-curricular activities and student opportunities
Maintain daily student communication and document attendance utilizing identified GOAL systems
Participate in daily POD huddles to establish clear lines of communication and define daily responsibilities with fellow POD teammates
