Job Summary
Academic Coach engages students in-person and online, collaborates with teachers and site staff to promote student success, provides outreach and support services, and responds to identified students to help them achieve personal and program goals. Responsibilities include on-site direct support for staff and students, managing student discipline and fostering positive relationships, giving interventions (MTSS), coordinating transportation for school activities, monitoring attendance, and securing appropriate documentation. The role requires ability to be physically present on-site in Colorado, with potential limited virtual work based on site needs; duties include recruiting new students, supporting academic and social-emotional learning, assisting with accommodations, and leveraging Schoology, Edgenuity, and GOAL Portal. Candidates should possess a valid driver’s license, reside in Colorado, and meet education/experience prerequisites; two years of experience with youth and at-risk populations preferred; bilingual skills are a plus. The position emphasizes confidentiality, FERPA compliance, collaboration with families and staff, and travel as needed within the region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher or two years of college coursework or passing assessment demonstrating subject matter competency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
