Job Summary
Academic Coach position at College Living Experience (CLE) in Costa Mesa, CA, full-time (approximately 40 hours per week), in-person. Provide individualized coaching and tutoring to neurodiverse young adults to develop executive functioning, organization, study habits, self-advocacy, and independent learning, helping students navigate college and beyond. Collaborate with social, career development, and independent living teams to ensure holistic support; assist with exam preparation, project work, note-taking, and real-world planning. Documentation of student progress and action plans in BestNotes; transportation between work sites is required. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, counseling, or related field, teaching/tutoring experience, and strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills. - Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have at least one year of licensed driving experience
- Meet company motor vehicle insurance requirements
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, counseling, or a related field
- Teaching/tutoring experience (1+ year preferred).
- Experience supporting students with learning differences or special education (preferred).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to tailor instruction to individual learning needs.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
