Job Summary
Manage intake and determination of all requests for reasonable academic and housing accommodations in accordance with the ADA and Section 504. Provide intrusive monitoring for students on academic warning or probation through weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings tracking attendance and grades. Instruct Student Success on study habits and time management for students with a GPA below 2.0. Educate students on disability rights, maintain confidential medical records, and issue official accommodation letters. Serve as the central hub for referrals to counseling and career services while ensuring mandatory tutoring utilization. Utilize Early Warning software to identify at-risk students before mid-term and maintain digital records adhering to FERPA standards.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
- Knowledge of Title III funding requirements
- Ability to manage and assign reasonable academic and housing accommodations
- Ability to coordinate with faculty and residence life
- Ability to conduct weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings
- Ability to track attendance, grades, and the execution of individualized success plans
- Ability to educate students on their rights and responsibilities regarding disability services
- Ability to maintain confidential records of medical documentation
- Ability to issue official accommodation letters to faculty
- Knowledge of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Knowledge of GPA benchmarks required to maintain financial aid and Band eligibility
- Ability to serve as a central hub for referrals to Student Affairs, counseling, and career services
- Ability to ensure students utilize mandatory tutoring
- Ability to maintain meticulous digital records in accordance with FERPA
- Ability to maintain confidentiality standards in accordance with ADA
- Experience or ability to utilize 'Early Warning' software
